From The Horse’s Mouth | Maya Unravels Gurara Falls
Maya is a marketing expert based in Abuja who loves to travel in her spare time. She recently went on a day trip to Gurara falls and has shared the 411 on her visit with us. Read, enjoy and plan a trip there the next time you’re in Abuja. Unfortunately for her the fall wasn’t at its peak when she went so when you’re planning it might be best to choose the rainy season period. The waterfalls are said to have been discovered in 1745 by a Gwari hunter called Buba, a when he was

We Went, Saw & Conquered
As you all know, we took a road trip to Ikogosi and Arinta Falls and it was amazing. As usual, the bus was filled with lots of conversations, games, snacks etc. After enduring traffic on Lagos – Ibadan Expressway, 7 hours later we got to Ikogosi Resort and it was beautiful site to behold. It was nature at its finest and everyone was excited to get there. Ikogosi Resort was built around the warm and cold spring to offer guests a unique experience with regards to accommodation.

Chasing Waterfalls | Erin – Ijesha Recap
Over the weekend, we had our tour to Erin-Ijesha Waterfalls in Osun State and I’m happy to say it went very well I have written on Erin-Ijesha (click here), so this post is just to show off pictures of what we got up to. Hopefully this makes you jealous and you join us on our next trip :). This time we were able to climb to the 5th level of the waterfall and also play under it. The climb was difficult and strenuous but at the end of the day it was worth it. Despite the rain,

Erin-Ijesha Waterfall’s Myth
Erin Ijesha water falls was dicovered in the year 1140AD. It has 7 stages and 3 major falls. Legend has it that after the death of Oduduwa, the people of present day Erin-Ijesha migrated from Ile-Ife. This migration was led by a lady called Yeye Aye Akinla who consulted the Ifa Oracle on how it would go. The Ifa Oracle’s chief priest informed her that after 17 days of trekking out of Ile-Ife, wherever she got to would be the new home for her and her followers. Off Yeye Akinla

Erin Ijesa Waterfalls
I was going to be corny and make the title an ode to the famous waterfalls song by TLC, but everyone probably names their waterfalls post after that song so I changed my mind. When doing a day trip of Osun State and you’ve checked The Osun Grove & The Nike Arts & Crafts Gallery off your list, make sure you head to Erin Ijesha Waterfalls (also known as Olumirin waterfalls). I would advise however that you go to the falls first, we went there last and because of this, we couldn

We have Waterfalls in Nigeria too!
When people talk about waterfalls in Africa, Zambia usually takes the trophy. They just smirk at us and try to oppress us with Victoria Falls. Maybe you’ll hear of Ghana or Madagascar, but everyone just ignores Nigeria. Sometimes they throw in the occasional Erin Ijesha waterfalls as a nod to us. As usual, I’m here to say we can compete. NEWS FLASH, we have at least 10 waterfalls in this country, both big and small. If you’re an adventurous tourist, you should definitely try
