10 Instagrammable Places In Nigeria | Do It For The Gram

Instagram Worthy Locations In Nigeria

A big part of travelling is taking pictures. Infact now thanks to Instagram, people have already pin pointed locations and poses they plan on taking when they get to their destination. They have to slay and tension their instagram followers while at it.

On the plus side, it helps to show off the beauty of the destination and shed light on places people may not even be aware of.

In Nigeria, we also have locations worthy of the gram and in no particular order, I have decided to narrow them down to 10.

This is everyone’s favourite foreign castle in Nigeia. Located in Kaduna, this castle built in German style has various locations where you can take your pictures and they’ll all come out looking stunning.

This famous hill in Idanre Town, Ondo state is so picturesque. It looks like it should be on a postcard. The view makes up for the 660 concrete steps you have to climb to get to the top.

Hidden in the tiny town of Owa Onire, Kawra State sits a waterfall that is often called a wonder in the wilderness. It doesn’t hurt that it also photographs beautifully.

This is everyone’s famous art gallery. 4 floors of awesomeness and is possibly the biggest art gallery in West Africa (or maybe has the biggest art collection). Whichever way, anywhere you strike your pose will be a hit, back to back.

Lekki Arts & Crafts Market

Sometimes called referred to as Jakande Market, it’s a haven for buying souvenirs. Even if you don’t find something to buy at the end of the day (which I honestly doubt), you’ll get a photo op to stunt on ’em on the gram.

Everywhere in Obudu in Instagram worthy. Just choose your backdrop and ‘snap away’.

Rele Art Gallery

We’re not sure exactly how this trend started but it is now a customary thing to take a picture in front of Rele when you visit.

This Abuja’s answer to Lekki’s Arts and crafts market. It’s as colorful as it’s counterpart and you’re sure to leave with a souvenir or 3.

Nigeria’s national mosque with it’s intricate design is our answer to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque.

Famous for being one of the 2 suspended lakes in the world, we can’t think of anywhere better to kick back, relax and take an epic shot.
