Kids Just wanna have fun.

Its Children’s day soon. Happy children’s day in advance to everyone out there. Everyone is after all someones child. Besides I like to think adults are older kids with bigger toys like cars and houses.

Kids aren’t left out when it comes to tourism, and some places even incorporate learning. Here are a couple of places you could take the younger kids to for Children’s Day. I’ll also throw in a couple of place for the older kids like me. 🙂

1. Tickle Bay

This is a family playground which your kids will definitely enjoy. It has a playground, a pool, restaurants and much more. It is guaranteed to be a fun day out and will have your kids jumping up and down with glee. For more information, check out their website.

They also offer summer vacation camps, birthday parties etc. Check their website out.

The name says it all. If you’re looking for a way to engage your kids and get them out of your hair, just take them to play zone. With branches in both Lekki & Ikeja, you won’t have issues of not having one close to you.

4. Is your child leaning towards the culture & arts vocation? Look no further, the Ethnic Heritage Centre is here to help. Your kids will learn different languages, arts and craft, cooking and lots more. Kids are always welcome and this way they get to show their creative side. Who knows, they may end up being the next Mummy Nike & owning a huge art & crafts center.

5. Hands up if you think your child is the next Mozart. Then they should go to the kids music club in Ikeja. If you’re tired of them making noise at home, let them make noise there and let out their artistic side.

Address – 20, Salvation Road, Opebi, Ikeja. Tel – 081504607 & 08038412559 Email –

6. If you’re in Abuja, why not check out Wonderland. It is an amusement park & resort that claims to be the most equipped, the first and biggest of its kind in Nigeria. They have rides, arcades, food and lots more. You won’t have to worry about putting your kids to bed because they’ll probably be knocked out by the time they’re done here.

7. Take them to eat at Johnny Rockets.

This is a 1950s themed diner with juke boxes littered around. They put smiley faces on the plates for kids and even start singing and dancing while you eat. The young ones are sure to love it. Johnny Rockets can be found in both Lagos & Abuja.

8. Grab some frozen yoghurt.

This is a healthy alternative to ice cream and you’re never to young to live a healthy life style. There are lots of frozen yogurt places around from sweet kiwi to Tutti Frutti.

For the older ones you can hang out at:

1. The JazzHole – This is a jazz club, music store, bookstore and coffee shop all rolled into one.

Address: 168 Awolowo Road, Ikoyi. Phone: 01-4805222
