Lakowe Lakes Golf & Country Estate is an exclusive 308 hectare residential golf estate owned and developed by Mixta Africa, so imagine our excitement when we were invited to a media brunch at the estate.
I had heard about Lakowe a lot of times and a former boss of mine went there religiously to play golf so I was looking forward to finally seeing what the fuss was about.
Due to the distance, we were told that transportation would be made available from a take-off point that was communicated to us.
During our trip there, we were informed that the Estate is a secure and serene gated community with an 18-hole world class golf course, guest cottages, corporate lodges, spa facilities & hotel and a clubhouse. If you think of Ikeja, Lagos island,Victoria island and Ikoyi as the downtown of the mega city that is Lagos. YES! We believe so. The houses come with price tags that range from 33 – 104 million naira. We learnt that it’s usually purchased as a second or third retirement home. If you can afford it, why not put a down payment on one of the lovely homes.
One thing was clear after the tour, Lakowe Lakes Golf & Country Estate offers the promise of an unrivaled lifestyle of luxurious living and security. The Estate proved itself to be more than just a place for living and playing golf, it coexists with nature; a place for those who know how to define their personality.
While over here at Unravelling Nigeria we’re waiting for our pockets to get a bit deeper so we can purchase some of the homes but till that happens, we’ll just wait for the spa to open next year so we can go experience it.
