I’m going to start by saying after eating here, I couldn’t move for 10 mins. When I eventually got home, I had to sleep. This is what BBQ & Cravings does to you when you eat there.
I had a catch up session with a friend and the restaurant of choice was BBQ & Cravings. Always up for a new spot to eat I happily went. On arrival, I didn’t think much of it. Looked like a random shack that was slightly touched up to accommodate diners. (They’ve moved now, so this post is based on their old location)
I saw wet wipes on the table, hand sanitisers, bamboo seats and a checkered table cloth thrown everywhere and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I did like that it was simple. I also noticed that people left their comments on the walls and I thought it was a fantastic touch.
We got the menu and because I hadn’t eaten all day I got the 3 stacks like I mentioned earlier and my friend got an old country burger. This came with a side of potato wedges and fries.
The chef had to come out to find out who ordered the 3 stacks and imagine his surprise when he found out it was a little looking female.
The food was good. My friend loved it and said there was no pretentious glamour to it. Just yummy food under a shack.
Food doesn’t have to be in a fancy location for it to be good. Quality is much more important and that’s what BBQ&Cravings offers. Amazing burgers in a place that you might not have given a 2nd look at. I’m not sure if I would go there regularly especially on a hut sunny day, but if you’re in the area, it’s worth a shot.
So if you’re looking for a quiet place to grab a bite to eat without all the fuss and frills you could try them out.
