Verdict – Sailor’s lounge’s selling point is the fantastic view of the sea. They have three sections – The sailor’s bar, The Captain’s Cabin and the Captain’s Deck; the captain’s deck also claims to be the first floating bar in Nigeria. Of course if you’re not interested in sitting outside, they have an indoor sitting area. As mentioned earlier, lunch was the reason for visiting and so it wasn’t packed. However I hear that it comes alive at night as a lot of people come in for drinks or pre-drinks before a night out.

Lunch was good but not fantastic, however the view more than made up for it. The staff are friendly and service was prompt. The ambiance is also great but there isn’t much to say about the decor. It was basic and I believe more can be done to add to the overall presentation of the place.  If I was to guess, I would say the idea is to give off the vibe of a sea side shack where one can just go and hang out.

I also felt that the prices were not worth it, but that’s just my personal thought.

At the end of it all, it’s a decent place to check out especially if you’re looking to take a load off in a laid back environment with a view, then why not check out sailor’s lounge. And the great part is you won’t be kicked out for not having ordering a meal. You can go there with your friends, talk and have a drink or three.
